Here is a new work in progress. I’ve been commissioned to create a painting based on one of my favorite collages from a few years ago, Geminate.
I am excited about revisiting and reworking this theme! The new painting is going to be similar to the collage, not a photorealistic copy. The finished piece won’t have this much yellow showing, but I like the idea of having it as an underpainting — maybe that yellow warmth will still be felt if not seen when it’s done. -Elisha
