Lady Ada Lovelace Piece in Progress

Lady Ada Day was last week (October 14th.) It’s a holiday celebrating women in technology. I’ve been casually working on a piece very loosely inspired by Ada Lovelace, one of my favorite polymaths. Known as the creator of the first computer program, Ada was a self-described “poetic scientist.” Charles Babbage called her an “enchantress of numbers.” She had an unusual upbringing, in part because she was the daughter of poet Lord Byron. There’s some other info about her intriguing character and life: here and here. I hope to learn more about her soon. Here’s a detail of the work so far.
